WELCOME to worship in the church of Our Saviour. We hope that you find the Sacred Spirit, feel blessed, create peace, and practice compassion through the love of God and His saving grace. We extend the hand of friendship so that we can connect with you, for you are so valuable to the Lord and very precious in His sight.
VISITORS AND NEWCOMERS . . . please introduce yourself to the Pastor and other members of the congregation and sign our Guest Book in the Narthex. We cordially invite you to worship with us on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Please see further notes in these announcements.
Hearing impaired, Hearing Aid Loop, and 87.9 FM broadcast. Ask for FM receiver, earphones, or assistance from the Service Leader.
A suggested prayer upon entering the church: God of mercy and grace, you know the inner conflict with past sin so often harasses us. Give us victory in Christ that once and for all we may turn our backs on the sins of our past, and move forward in faith, assured of a new beginning with Jesus our Savior, in whose name we pray. Amen.
SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE began on Thursday, June 17. Please bring your lawn chairs for outside service on Thursdays. We move inside if inclement weather. Our worship on Sundays is at 10:00 a.m. Please note that we will still radio broadcast for both services.
Euchre Club plays on Fridays from 1:00—4:00 p.m. in the Augsburg Room. We will be following guidelines while operating/playing. If you plan to come, it is much appreciated to please contact Dick Ransom.
BOTH CHURCHES’ SCHEDULE OF EVENTS—During the Pause Period for the Lutheran Church of the Reformation as they interact with LCOS, we ask that both congregations communicate with the LCOS Office for any events/activities that are held at the church. The office will maintain the schedule of events to avoid any conflicts in scheduling. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in welcoming ELCR (aka RLC.) May we share God’s love!
LANYARD NAME TAGS—It was a suggestion to have name tags during the joint services with LCOS and RLC (Reformation). It is a great idea to get to know one another! Please keep your lanyards. If you have not picked one up, please contact the office. The joint services are at 10:00 a.m. on July 25, August 1, and August 29.
ALTAR FLOWERS are given this week by Nedra and Ken Keller in memory of Eleanor and Wilbur Keller. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
FLOWER CHART for 2021 is posted on the Narthex bulletin board. The Altar Guild invites you to indicate the date on which you wish to place flowers on the altar as an expression of devotion to the Lord, in memory of a loved one, as an expression of joy and thanksgiving on an anniversary or birthday, or other special occasions in life. The cost of the flowers is $30.00. We encourage and appreciate your participation.
SUMMER HELP—Now that the grass is growing, the flowers are blooming, bushes growing, and other summer duties required to keep our grounds clean, we are in need of volunteers for a few hours a week. Our grass-cutting crew is in need of a few more volunteers to ride our “yellow bird” to mow the grass. Contact Ed Jarvis or Jerry Stich for additional information.
IF YOU ARE ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL—Please let Pastor or the church office know. Also, let the hospital know you are a member of Our Saviour.
PRAYER REQUEST—Please contact the office if you have prayer requests. Remember if you include the address of your Prayer Person, we will send them a postcard letting them know that they are in our prayers.
REMINDER—It is greatly appreciated if everyone would submit your newsletter articles to the office by the 20th of each month. Thank you!
