We cordially invite you to worship with us on Sundays for either our Modern Traditional Service at 9:00 a.m. or our Traditional Service at 11:15 a.m. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME IN WORSHIP – Parents with small children may use the pews in the back of the church. The Parents’ Room (equipped with sound) is available.

VOCAL CHOIR PRACTICE is today at 10:30 a.m. Do you know that we will have our choir perform in celebration of Our Saviour 75th Anniversary? Wouldn’t you like to join the choir and be part of future performances? Perhaps you can come to observe a few of our rehearsals in the music room.
(SUNDAY) ADULT BIBLE STUDY is today at 10:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room. What joy andexcitement await you as you delve into the Word of God and help others to discover its life-changing truths.
TRUNK-OR-TREAT with HAUNTED HALL—We request that you bring candy donations to the church today. The Evangelism Committee is sponsoring Trunk-or-Treat in our church parking lot on October 26from:00-4:00 p.m. are asking you to donate your trunk, which you can decorate, or some candy to share. Please sign up on the sheet in the. Thrivent Financial hosting the “Halloween Hall” that is being decorated by our Youth. Everyone can traverse the hallway downstairs and meet characters and spooky things there. You can walk the hall and then join us in the Narthex for cider, donuts and coffee. Come and visit the hall to see our youths handiwork!
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING IS TONIGHT—Dessert at 5:00 p.m. and the meeting is at 6:00 p.m. During this meeting, the Treasurer will present the Budget for 2020. is important for the Congregation to understand “how a church continues to run.” encourage you to attend this important meeting to review and vote on the budget. will help you plan your giving for 2020 and help us achieve our church goals.
(YOUTH) LYO and NG’Us—Halloween Hall preparations are underway! Calling all youth. We will be meeting at church October 21-23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Come when you can as we decorate the hall for Trunk-or-Treat. It is a fun time for the children. Their creativity is always adored and appreciated by the congregation and community!
(TUESDAY) BIBLE STUDY is on October 22 at 10:00 a.m. Come pour your spirit into others,foster community, dive into God’s Word and the opportunity to hone your creative skills.
REFORMATION SUNDAY is on October 27, one service at 10:00 a.m. As part of the 75thAnniversary celebration, we’ve invited Bishop Macholz to preach at this service. Please come worship with us and welcome the Bishop! The celebration luncheon is on the same day from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.,at Sweetbriar Lodge on Ridgeway Avenue. Ticket sale for the luncheon has ended (further purchases
cannot be made).
WELCA MEETING is on October 29 at 12:00 p.m. Please bring your lunch. Dessert and beverage will be provided. At this meeting, we will be discussing and making final plans for the upcoming AnnualElection Day Soup and Bake Sale on November 5. We are in need of soup and baked goods as well as volunteers to work the day of the sale. A special “Thank You” to Thrivent for sponsoring this sale. There will be a sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex.
ALL SAINTS’ DAY NOVEMBER 3—The word saint has a variety of meanings today. Saint refers both to all the baptized of the Church and to those who died in faith, who are now part of the great cloud of witnesses surrounding the Church on earth. In your prayers remember members, family members, and friends of Our Saviour who died and now rest in Christ from their labors. This is also Our Saviour’s official anniversary date. Please join our service at 10:00 a.m. with guest Pastor Arden C. Strasser. In addition, the Sunday School children will present their weaving project at the service. We will have a special breakfast hour in the Augsburg room at 11:15 a.m. Please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex for the breakfast.
X-CATS PANCAKE BREAKFAST—Help the X-Cats raise funds for a trip to the FIRST Robotics World Championship. The breakfast and 50/50 raffle is on November 9, from 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.
VETERANS’ DAY is on November 10. During our services we will honor the veterans. We will also have a dedication ceremony with “laying of the bricks”.
YOUTH BOWLING is on November 10 after the 11:15 a.m. service. More details to come.
MAGGIE’S HOUSE—Our congregation and Youth will help serve Thanksgiving dinner at Maggie’s House on November 23. More details to come.
THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE is on November 27 at 7:00 p.m. Invite your friends and neighbors as we offer our thanks to God. Note: No Confirmation Class that morning and no Youth that night.
TIME CAPSULE—We would like to put together a time capsule. You still have a time until the end of November to bring items that have a connection/memory of our church. Members have put in some terrific items. What great memories!
2019 FLOWER CHART—We still have open dates awaiting your choice to place flowers for the Sunday services in memory of loved ones, in celebration of an anniversary, or any special occasion. Please sign up on the chart posted on the bulletin board. The cost of Altar flowers is $30.00.
IF YOU ARE ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL—Please let Pastor or the church office know. Also let the hospital know you are a member of Our Saviour.
PRAYER REQUEST CARDS have been placed in the pews. If you have prayer concerns please fill one out and hand it to the Ushers after the Sermon. Please put the address of your Prayer Person on the card so that we may send them a postcard letting them know that they are in our prayers.
